INVITATION TO TENDER
PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF GOVERNOR’S RESIDENCE

1. The COUNTY GOVERNMENT OF KISUMU invites sealed tenders for the construction of PROPOSED
CONSTRUCTION OF GOVERNOR’S RESIDENCE
2. Tendering will be conducted under open competitive method (National) using a standardized tender document.
Tendering is open to all qualified and interested Tenderers.
3. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender Documents during
office hours. 0900 to 1700 hours.
4. A complete set of tender documents may be obtained by interested tenders electronically from the Website(s)
https://www.kisumu.go.ke or Public Procurement Information Portal (PPIP) https://tenders.go.ke Tender
documents obtained electronically will be free of charge.
5. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the website (https://www.kisumu.go.ke),
Public Procurement Information Portal (PPIP) https://tenders.go.ke and Suppliers Portal. Tenderers who
download the tender document must forward their particulars immediately to procurement.cgk@kisumu.go.ke
to facilitate any further clarification or addendum.
6. Tenders shall be quoted be in Kenya Shillings and shall include all taxes. Tenders shall remain valid for 210
days from the date of opening of tenders.
7. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Bid Bond of Kenya Shillings Nine Hundred Thousand Only (Kshs.
900,000.00) in any of the following forms; a bank guarantee from a reputable bank listed by the Central Bank of
Kenya; a guarantee by an insurance company registered and licensed by the Insurance Regulatory Authority and
listed by the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority. An original copy of the tender security should reach the
office of Director Supply Chain Management before the 14th December 2022 at 12.00 noon.
8. The Tenderer shall CHRONOLOGICALLY SERIALIZE ALL PAGES of the tender documents submitted.
9. A pre-arranged site visit has been arranged on the 7th December 2022. This meeting is mandatory for all
tenderers and those who choose to attend shall be issued with a site visit Certificate
10. Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before 14th December 2022 at 12 noon.
Electronic Tenders will be permitted. All tenders are instructed to submit one Manual Original tender document
and also uploaded in the IFMIS Portal. NOTE that there should be no discrepancy between the tender uploaded
in the IFMIS Portal and the Manual Tender document submitted. Tenderers are advised to frequently check on
the County website www.kisumu,go.ke for addendums to this tender.
11. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any dead line date and
times specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the Tenderers’ designated
representatives who choose to attend at the address below.
12. Late tenders will be rejected.
