TENDER NOTICE
1. Chemususu Water Company (CHEWASCO) has received funding from Water Fund under Ending
Drought Emergencies: Climate Proofed Infrastructure for Improved Water Supply and Sanitation in
Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASAL) Areas. The Company now invites sealed tenders for the Construction
of Saos – Upper Emining Water Supply Works as indicated below.

2. Construction period will be 2 Months with a Defect Liability Period of 2 Months. The Works will
be done between Saos and Emining Trading Centers.
3. Tendering will be conducted under Open National Tender method using a standard tender
document. Tendering is open to all qualified and interested Tenderers.
4. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender
Documents during office hours 8:00am to 5:00pm at the address given below.
5. A complete Set of Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded free from the Chemususu
website https://chewasco.co.ke/tenders/ Tender Documents submitted in two copies in plain
sealed envelope clearly marked tender number and Name and also marked ORIGINAL and COPY
shall be deposited in the Tender Box at the Company’s head office Kamelilo.
6. Tenders shall be quoted in Kenya Shillings and shall include all taxes. Tenders shall remain valid for
119 days from the date of opening of tenders.
7. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Security of Kshs.1,500,000 (Kenya Shillings One
Million Eight Hundred Thousand Only) which is valid for 30 days after the expiry of tender validity
as the Tender Security.
8. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted.
9. Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before Tuesday, 12th March
2024 at 11.00 a.m. Electronic Tenders will not be permitted.
10. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any dead
line date and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the Tenderers’
designated representatives who choose to attend at the address below.
