ENHANCING LAST-MILE AGRI-INPUT NETWORKS & SERVICES IN ISIOLO, SAMBURU, AND MARSABIT COUNTIES – MERCY CORPS
Mercy Corps is seeking applications from Agri-input businesses to expand last-mile private sector supply and services in Isiolo, Samburu, and Marsabit counties. The RANGE program aims to improve access to quality agricultural inputs for male and female farmers in these regions, through new or improved networks of Agrovets and agents.
Objective:
– Strengthen last-mile Agri-input supply by developing networks of retailers (e.g., Agrovets) in the target counties.
– Co-investment required from applicants (minimum of 50%) to implement new business innovations or practices.
Eligibility Criteria:
– Registered Agri-input businesses (wholesalers, distributors, retailers) with at least 2 years of active operations.
– Existing operations or retailer networks in or around the target wards.
– Willingness to contribute financially to business innovations.
Target Areas:
- Isiolo: Burat, Ngaremara, Chari, Kinna wards
- Samburu: Waso, Wamba West, Lodokejek, Baawa wards
- Marsabit: Laisamis, Sagante/Jaldesa, Maikona, Gobo wards
