SUPPLY OF NUTRITIOUS UNIMIX FOR FEEDING SUPPORT PROGRAM IN TURKANA COUNTY.
Malteser International (MI), the worldwide humanitarian relief agency of the Sovereign Order of Malta, has been delivering emergency and long-term support to vulnerable communities for over 60 years. In Kenya, Ml has worked since 2001 to strengthen health systems, improve nutrition, promote access to safe water and sanitation, support livelihoods, and build resilience to climate shocks. With funding from the German Federal Foreign Office under the MIEPA Programme, Ml is implementing a Humanitarian Response Program aimed at providing lifesaving support to crisis-affected populations and improving their shock responsiveness. The intervention targets refugees and host communities in Turkana County and includes the procurement of essential nutrition supplies on behalf of UNHCR for the refugees in Kakuma.
To strengthen Food and Nutrition Security among severely affected refugees in the camps in Kakuma, Ml seeks to procure Nutritious Unimix as part of its ongoing humanitarian support to vulnerable refugee population.
