INVITATION TO TENDER (ITT)
TENDER NO. KR/SCM/081/2024-2025
SUPPLY, DELIVERY, INSTALLATION & CONFIGURATION OF VHF RADIOS TO
SUPPORT METER GAUGE RAILWAY (MGR) TRAINS OPERATIONS.
1. The Kenya Railways invites sealed Tenders for Supply and delivery of goods
2. Tendering will be conducted under Restricted Tender Method using a standardized tender document.
3. In case this tender is subject to a Reservation, specify the Group is eligible to
tender, Insert e.g. “Tendering is open to all Small and Medium Enterprises registered
appropriately with CAK & ICT AUTHORITY. [Provide proof of registration documentation.]
4. Tenderers will be allowed to tender for one or more lots (where applicable). N/A
5. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the
Tender Documents during office hours from 0900 hrs. to 1600 hrs. at the address given below.
6. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the website
www.krc.co.ke , www.ppip.go.ke . Tenderers who download the tender document must
forward their particulars immediately to procure@krc.co.ke to facilitate any further
clarification or addendum.
7. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Security of Kenya Shillings Nine
Hundred Thousand Only (Kshs.900,000.00) from an insurance company registered
and licensed by the Insurance Regulatory Authority and listed by the Public Procurement
Regulatory Authority or a Bank Guarantee from a Registered Commercial Bank in Kenya
valid for 240 days from the date of tender opening. Verification shall be carried out to
ascertain authenticity of the document.
8. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted.
9. Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before 8th July,2025 at 10:00AM .
Electronic Tenders shall not be permitted.
- Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above
or any dead line date and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened
in the presence of the Tenderers’ designated representatives who choose to attend
at the address below. - Late tenders will be rejected.
