ADDENDUM NO.1 TO AN INVITATION FOR PREQUALIFICATION (IFP)
TENDER No.: LVSWWDA/PQ/KFW/WWM/W-2/2025 – R PROCUREMENT No. 513284
- Following the publication on 21st October 2025 of Prequalification Documents inviting eligible applicants for Lot 2 – Construction Works for Rehabilitation
and Expansion of Water Supply and Sanitation Systems for Kericho and Litein, Kenya, and the subsequent requests for clarifications by
the applicants and. the clarification no.1 issued by the Employer on 11th November 2025 to the pre-registered applicants, in accordance to the article
8.1 & 8.2 of Instructions to Applicants (Amendment of Prequalification Documents), the Employer hereby issues Addendum No.1 to the Prequalification
Documents for Lot 2 – Construction Works for Rehabilitation and Expansion of Water Supply and Sanitation Systems for Kericho and Litein. - The objective of Addendum No. 1 is to amend the original Prequalification Document and part of the Clarification no. 1 issued on 11th November, 2025
by eliminating ambiguity in the specific sections as outlined below. - The following sections of the Prequalification Documents are hereby replaced through Addendum no.1 as highligted in the Amendment column below:

The similarity of the contracts shall be based on the fol- lowing: • Minimum three (3) references, comprising at least one (1) Wastewater Projects and two (2) Water Supply Projects, each inclusive of Treatment Facil- ity / Plant. Evidence of Completion / Taking Over Certificate for each Project to be attached to form Exp-4.2(a) under this criteria • References above must show experience within Af- rica
Bidders are strongly advised that non-compliance to these requirements will lead to disqualification of their bid. |
Similar contracts, satisfactorily and substantially completed as a prime contractor, joint venture member, management contractor or subcontractor for the last ten (10) years (2015) to the application submission deadline, three (3) contracts, minimum value EUR 12,000,000 (Twelve Million Euro)
The similarity of the contracts shall be based on the following: • Minimum three (3) references, comprising at least one (1) Wastewater Project and two (2) Water Supply Proj- ects; each inclusive of either: (a) Treatment Facility / Plant, or (b) Sewerage Network or (c) Water Transmission and Distribution Pipelines” Evidence of Completion / Taking Over Certificate for each project to be attached to form Exp-4.2(a) under this cri- terion. • At least two of the above references must be within Africa. Bidders are strongly advised that non-compliance to these requirements will lead to disqualification of their bid. |

3.3 Financial Capabilities: Financial Position |
Financial Capacities of Section III – Qualification and Evaluation requires financial statements for last three
(3) years (2021 to 2023) to be provided. However, Form FIN-3.1 is structured to provide financial information of five years (2019 to 2023). |
The Form FIN-3.1 has been revised and attached as Revised Form FIN 3.1 (Attached). |
| 3. | ITA 17.1 | Bid Submission Date shall be 24th November, 2025 | Bid Submission Date is extended to 8th December, 2025 at 1200 hrs (Kenyan Time). |
- The Addendum No.1 supersedes the clarifications provided under the Clarification no.1 issued on 11th November 2025 on the item no.4.2(a) and
the Bid Submission date The rest of other clarification provided in clarification no.1 are maintained without alteration.
