- The Ministry of Transport, Infrastructure, Housing, Urban Development and Public Works now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Construction of Kenyanya-ini Market Sheds in Murang’a County as detailed below

- Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the Principal Secretary, State Department of Housing and Urban Development, at the address below and inspect the bidding documents during office hours 0900 to 1700 hours during working days (Monday to Friday) at the address given below.
- A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Kshs 1,000.00 per set (or equivalent in a convertible currency). The method of payment will be cash or banker’s cheque from a reputable bank in Kenya. The Bidding Documents will be collected from the address below upon production of a purchase receipt.
- Bids must be delivered on or before 1200 hours East Africa time on Tuesday, 9th February, 2021 to the Tender Box located at the 10th Floor, Cianda House, Koinange Street, Nairobi, Kenya. The packages should be clearly marked “CONSTRUCTION OF KENYANYA-INI MARKET SHEDS IN MURANG’A COUNTY No.: NCB/MoTIHUD&PW/SDfH&UD/ METRO/05/2020-2021”. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below at Cianda House, 10th Floor Conference Room, at 1205 hours East Africa time on Tuesday, 9th February, 2021.
- Interested bidders must be registered by National Construction Authority, category NCA 6 or NCA 7 in Building Works.
- All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security or Bid Bond of Kshs 375,000.00 (Kenya Shillings Two Million); or equivalent amount in freely convertible currency from Financial Institutions/Approved Insurance Companies.
- A Pre-Bid meeting shall take place on Wednesday, 20th January, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Kenyanya-ini Market.
