INVITATION TO TENDER
Provision of comprehensive insurance cover for helicopter, fixed wing aircraft (Cessna caravan) and drones.
TENDER NO: KFS/ 005/2025-2026
1. The Kenya Forest Service invites sealed tenders as follows:
Lot 1: The Provision of Comprehensive Insurance Cover for Helicopter.
Lot 2: The Provision of Comprehensive Insurance Cover for Fixed Wing Aircraft (Cessna Caravan).
Lot 3: The Provision of Comprehensive Insurance Cover for Unmanned Aircraft System
Drones.
Tendering will be conducted under open tendering method using a standardized tender
document and is open to all invited, qualified and interested Tenderers. Tenderers will be
allowed to tender for one or more items.
2. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender
Documents during office hours from 9.00am to 4.00pm at the address given below. Tender
documents may be viewed and/or downloaded from the website:
www.kenyaforestservice.org
3. A complete set of tender documents may be purchased or obtained by interested tenders upon
payment of a non- refundable fees of KES 1,000 in cash or Banker’s Cheque and payable to
the address given below. Tender documents obtained electronically will be free of charge.
4. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the website
www.kenyaforestservice.org. Tenderers who download the tender document must forward
their particulars immediately to Procuring entity Headquarters, in Karura, off Kiambu Road
opposite DCI, P.O. BOX 30513-00100 Nairobi to facilitate any further clarification or
addendum.
5. All Tenders must be accompanied with tender securities for each Lot that they participate in as
follows; Lot 1 Kes 250,000, Lot 2 Kes 250,000, Lot 3 Kes 100,000 all valid for 184 days from
the tender closing date
6. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted.
7. Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before 25th February 2026 at
11.00am Electronic Tenders will not be permitted.
8. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any
deadline date and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the
Tenderers’ designated representatives who choose to attend at the address below.
9. Late tenders will be rejected.
