INVITATION TO TENDER
DISPOSAL OF OBSOLETE/UNSERVICEABLE ITEMS FOR THE FINANCIAL YEAR 2025/2026,
1. The JOMO KENYATTA UNIVERSITY OF AGRICULTURE AND TECHNOLOGY now invites
sealed tenders from eligible candidates to purchase Obsolete/Unserviceable Items.
2. Interested eligible candidates may obtain further information at the address provided below. Items will
be sold as they are, without any encumbrances.
3. Interested tenderers may inspect the goods to be sold during office hours 0800-1700HOURS at the
address given below.
4. A complete set of tender documents may be purchased or obtained by interested tenders upon payment
of a non- refundable fee of KES 1,000/= by M-pesa or Banker’s Cheque and payable to the address
given below. Tender documents obtained electronically will be free of charge.
5. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the website www.jkuat.ac.ke or the
Government Public Procurement Information Portal www.tenders.go.ke Tenderers who download the
tender document must forward their particulars immediately to tenders@jkuat.ac.ke to facilitate any
further clarification or addendum.
6. Tenderers will be required to pay in advance a refundable deposit as indicated in the Appendix to
Instructions to tenderers.
7. Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below (in a tender box) on or before Tuesday 31st
March, 2026 at 11.30 am. Electronic Tenders will not be permitted.
8. Prices quoted should be net, must be in Kenya Shillings and shall remain valid for 120 days from the
closing date of the tender.
9. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted.
10. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any deadline
date and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the Tenderers’
designated representatives who choose to attend at the address below.
11. Late tenders will be rejected.
