- The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Food
Systems Resilience Project (FSRP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds for consulting services. - The Consulting Services (“the Services) include Consulting services for the Gender Based Violence
Specialist. The estimated period of assignment is three (3) months. - The detailed Terms of Reference (TOR) for the assignment can be found at the following website:
www.kilimo.go.ke. - The State Department for Agriculture (“the Client”) now invites eligible individuals (“Consultants”)
to indicate their interest in providing the Services. Interested Consultants should provide information
demonstrating that they have the required qualifications and relevant experience to perform the Services.
The specialist should have the following minimum qualifications and experience;
i. A minimum of a Master Degree in Sociology, Anthropology, Social sciences, law, psychology, human
rights, Gender and Development studies or other relevant fields from a reputed public university.
ii. A minimum of 6 years of general experience in social risk management and tracing of Gender Based
Violence (GBV) with a focus on SEA and SH.
iii. A specific experience of four (4) years in actual gender mainstreaming for development, and GBV/
SEAH prevention in development projects in different roles and assignments undertaken at different
levels with sector specialists working with Multilateral Organizations, International NGOs, implementing
compliance procedures like the ESF and Environmental and Social standards. Evidence of
at least 3 comparable assignments. - The attention of interested Consultants is drawn to Section III, paragraphs, 3.14, 3.16, and 3.17 of the
World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” First Published July 2016 and revised
4th Edition November 2020 (“Procurement Regulations”), setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest. - A Consultant will be selected in accordance with the Selection Based on the Individual Selection method
set out in the World Banks Framework agreement arrangements described in the procurement Regulations. - Further information can be obtained at the address below during office hours 0900 to 1600 hours
