KOREA INTERNATIONAL COOPERATION AGENCY TENDER FEBRUARY 2024 

1. The Korea International Cooperation Agency [KOICA] Kenya Office invites qualified firms to express their interest in the Construction of the Project of Improving Maternal and Child Health through Health System Strengthening in Kajiado County, Kenya.
2. The project will be implemented by the grant aid from the Government of the Republic of Korea.
3. Description of Project

• Construction of medical facilities [maternal shelters] in three locations [Oltepesi, Ngatataek, Elangata Enkima]

• Bidders who submit their application for participation in this bid by the deadline.
• Bidders who must be a legally registered company.
• Bidders who have a valid registration to perform construction works in Kenya.

6. KOICA will not be responsible for any costs or expenses incurred by applicants in connection with the preparation or delivery of bids.

8. Bid security must be submitted by March 26,2025, at 14:00, in the form of an unconditional bank guarantee, irrevocable letter or credit, or a cashier’s or certified check.

9. KOICA will not be held liable for any taxes and duties, including VAT under this tender and the Contract. As per the local regulations, the organization responsible for taxation and the reimbursement of VAT or any other taxes is the Kenya National Treasury and the Kenya Revenue Authority.
