SUPPORTING GIZ IN A CONSULTANCY ON STRENGTHENING ENTREPRENEURIAL SKILLS FOR REFUGEES AND HOST COMMUNITIES IN TURKANA WEST SUB-COUNTY, TURKANA

The Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH is implementing Technical cooperation measures on behalf of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany.

The execution of the works will be performed within the frame of the Technical Cooperation between the Federal Republic of Germany and the Government of the Republic of Kenya.

On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) is supporting the Government of Kenya with the project Support to Refugees and Host Communities in Kenya. One of our specific goals is strengthening of entrepreneurial skills of men and women from refugee and host communities. The objective of this assignment is 200 micro and small enterprises (MSE) drawn from women and men, from refugee and host communities have successfully completed measures to strengthen entrepreneurial skills. The Individual(s)/Firm(s) will carry out the following services: beneficiary identification; selection and training of community co-facilitators; business, entrepreneurship & financial management training; on the Job Coaching & Mentorship; Issuance of Business tool kits; linkages and exchange learning visits and monitoring & evaluation The consultant will offer technical support, coaching and training to MSE owners, to equip them with skills that are tailor- made to meet the local market needs thus offering an holistic approach to the entrepreneurs. Support offered will be in form of both theoretical and practical skills training to help the MSE owners better manage their business operations.
