MESPT-CREDIT-13-2025 – CONSULTANCY TO UNDERTAKE TRAINING ON FINANCIAL LITERACY
ABOUT MESPT
Micro Enterprises Support Programme Trust (MESPT) is a development organization dedicated to growing smallholder farmers and Agri-SMEs to enhance productivity, increase incomes, and improve competitiveness for job creation, especially among youth and women. We achieve this through capacity building, technical support, market linkages, and financial inclusion.
OBJECTIVE OF THE ASSIGNMENT
MESPT seeks to engage a qualified consultant to deliver a Training of Trainers (ToT) program in financial literacy, targeting selected officers from partner financial institutions. The assignment includes the development of a training manual/toolkit and the initial rollout of training sessions for smallholder farmers and micro-enterprises, with the overall aim of strengthening financial access and credit management skills.
KEY REQUIREMENTS
The selected consultant will be expected to:
- Design and deliver a 5-day financial literacy training for approximately 35 ToTs.
- Develop a structured financial literacy training manual including modules, case studies, and role plays.
- Provide content on key topics such as record keeping, profitability, business planning, risk mitigation, savings, credit management, and client protection.
- Deliver a final consolidated report including evaluation insights and recommendations.
- Incorporate participatory training methods suitable for adult learners.
QUALIFICATIONS
- A degree in Business, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree and NITA certification are an added advantage).
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in development finance, financial literacy training, or enterprise development.
- Track record in curriculum development and facilitation of ToT programs.
- Experience in adult learning methodologies and participatory training techniques.
- At least three references from similar assignments within the past 6 years.
