CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR ENGINEERS – 2023 CALENDAR OF ACTIVITIES 

The Engineers Board of Kenya is a statutory body established under Section 3(1) of the
Engineers Act 2011. The Board is responsible for the registration of engineers and engineering
firms, regulation of engineering professional services, setting of standards, development,
and general practice of engineering.
Section 7(1)(q) of the Engineers Act 2011 mandates the Board to “plan, arrange and oversee
continuing professional training and development of engineers.” The Board runs a
Continuing Professional Development Programme that seeks to help engineers stay up-todate
with the latest trends and developments in the industry, enhance their knowledge and
skills, and ultimately advance their careers.
The Board has developed a CPD calendar of activities for the 2023 calendar year with a wide
variety of courses, workshops, seminars, and conferences designed to keep engineers up-todate
with the latest trends and developments in the built environment. The calendar features
events from the Board as well as reputable and trusted organizations in the industry, including
professional associations, and training providers accredited by the Board. Engineers are
invited to select programs from a wide range of topics, from discipline specific training &
learning areas to engineering technologies, contract, and project management as well as the
emerging issues in engineering and other relevant areas.

Engineers are advised to visit the Board’s website to access the calendar and the list of institutions
accredited by the Board to offer CPD training.
