Design, Supply, Installation and Commissioning of Stand-Alone Solar Photovoltaic Systems – Kenya Power 2021

KENYA POWER TENDER SEPTEMBER 2021 

1. The Government of the Republic of Kenya has received funding from the World Bank towards the cost of Design, Supply, Installation and Commissioning of stand-alone so­lar photovoltaic systems with battery energy storage for community facilities in Turkana, West Pokot, Isiolo, Marsabit, Samburu, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, Lamu, Tana River, Kilifi, Kwale, Taita Taveta and Narok Counties in Kenya with 7 years O&M services. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this funding will be applied to eligible payments under this project.
2. The Kenya Power and Lighting Company Pic now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for: KPI/6A.1/PT/2/21/A76: Design, Supply, Installation and Commissioning of Stand- Alone Solar Photovoltaic Systems with Battery Energy Storage for Community Facilities in Turkana; West Pokot, Isiolo, Marsabit, Samburu, Mandera, Wajir, Garissa, Lamu, Tana River, Kilifi, Kwale, Taita Taveta and Narok Counties in Kenya with 7 Years O&M services.
3. Bidding will be conducted through the International Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-consulting services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers, “published by the Bank in July 2016 (Revised November 2020) “Procurement Guidelines” and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition please refer to paragraphs 3.14, 3.15, 3.16 and 3.17 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.

8. Bids (hard copies) must be delivered on or before 9^th November, 2021 at 10.00 a.m. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend on 9th November, 2021 at 10.30 a.m. (local time) at Stima Plaza Audito­rium.
9. All bids MUST be accompanied by a bid security in the form of a Bank Guarantee Only for the amount and either of the currency as specified below; based on associated Lot(s).
