The Government of the Republic of Kenya has received a loan from the African Development Fund (ADF) for a Project establishing the East Africa’s Centre of Excellence in Nephrology and Urology Sciences called the East Afri- can Kidney Institute (EAKI). It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under consultancy services.
In light of the above function, the Ministry of Health intends to engage an individual consultant for the following assignment:

The services to be provided under this consultancy will include, but not necessarily limited to the following:
- Prepare a detailed roadmap for EAKI-SP strategy elaboration, preferably assigning timeframes for activities to be completed in the months leading to finalization of the EAKI-SP and linking it with the overall elaboration
- Ensure that the Technical Working Group understand and follow the different guidelines issued by Ministry of Planning and
- Ensure uniformity between objectives outlined in the sector EAKI-SP and strategies produced by other
- Facilitate the HSWG in preparing and submitting the various drafts of the strategy to MOH in
- Facilitate writing workshops for further elaboration of the strategy (relating to identification of priorities, developing the results chain, theory of change etc).
- Develop cost estimates of the strategy and ensure consistent costing of the EAKI-SP.
- Produce the various drafts and the final EAKI-SP in accordance with deadlines in the overall
The Ministry of Health, now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Inter- ested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, etc.).
Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations”, dated October 2015” which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.
