Our goal is to tackle poverty while addressing gender inequality and climate change.
Consultancy OVERVIEW
Practical Action, in partnership with Regen Organics and the County Government of Kakamega, is implementing the Circular Economy for Household Organic Waste (CE4HOW) project. This four-and-a-half-year initiative seeks to create a commercially viable circular economy model for organic waste management, benefiting both smallholder farmers and informal waste workers.
To support the behavioral shift needed to realize this model, Practical Action invites qualified consulting entities to submit proposals for the Development of a Social and Behaviour Change Communication (SBCC) Strategy. The consultant will develop a comprehensive strategy to drive sustainable household-level waste segregation and community participation in organic waste reuse and recycling.
KEY OBJECTIVES
The assignment will involve:
- Raising awareness of organic waste segregation benefits.
- Promoting positive attitudes and behaviors aligned with circular economy principles.
- Encouraging community engagement and policy alignment.
- Designing a detailed implementation and monitoring plan.
