PROGRAMME: KENYA TOWNS SUSTAINABLE WATER SUPPLY AND SANITATION PROGRAM

DEVELOPMENT OF WATER REGULATION INFORMATION SYSTEM (WARIS) VERSION 4 FOR THE WATER SERVICES REGULATORY BOARD (WASREB)-RE-ADVERTISEMENT

1. This Invitation for Initial Selection follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this Project that appeared in United Nations Development Business online UNDB online on 31st March 2017.
2. The Government of Kenya has received Financing from the African Development Fund in various currencies towards the cost of Kenya Towns Sustainable Water Supply and Sanitation Program. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for Development of Water Regulation Information System (WARIS) version 4 for the Water Services Regulatory Board (WASREB).
3. The Athi Water Works Development Agency intends to initially select Applicants for the Development of Water Regulation Information System (WARIS) version 4 for the Water Services Regulatory Board (WASREB) (hereinaf­ter called “the Information System”). Initial Selection will be conducted through the procedures as specified in the Bank’s “Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations” dated October 2015 and is open to all eligible Applicants as defined in the Procurement Regulations. It is expected that the Request for Proposals will be made in January 2022.
4. Interested eligible Applicants may obtain further information from the The Chief Executive Officer, Athi Water Works Development Agency, Athi Water Plaza, Muthaiga North Rd, Off Kiambu Rd and P.O. Box 45283­00100 Nairobi, Kenya during office hours (8.00am to 5.00pm East African Time) on week days except public holidays.
5. A complete set of Initial Selection documents in English may be purchased by interested applicants on the sub­mission of a written application to the above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of KES 1,000 (Kenya Shillings One Thousand Only). Initial Selection documents obtained electronically will be free of charge.
6. Initial Selection documents obtained from AWWDA website: www.awwda.go.ke or the PPIP portal, www.tenders.go.ke  shall be free of charge. Applicants who download the Initial Selection document must forward their particulars immediately to procurement@awwda.go.ke to facilitate any further clarification or addendum/ addenda.
7. Applications for Initial Selection should be submitted in clearly marked envelopes and delivered to the  above office on or before 12.00pm East African Time on 12^th  January, 2022. Late applications may be rejected.
8. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 12.05pm East African Time on 12^th  January, 2022 at the offices of:
