SELECTION OF AN AGENCY (CONSULTING FIRM) WITH EXPERTISE IN COMMUNICATION, RESEARCH AND AUDIENCE ANALYSIS & PUBLIC RELATIONS FOR IMPLEMENTING THE COMMUNICATION/ MEDIA STRATEGY FOR THE MINISTRY OF ENERGY

The Ministry of Energy is mandated to develop and implement policies that create an enabling environment for efficient operation and growth of Kenya’s energy sector. It sets strategic directions to facilitate the growth of the sector while providing long-term vision for all sector players.

To fulfill its mandate of providing leadership in the energy sector and shaping the narrative of showcasing Kenya as a vanguard nation in the area of renewable energy, the Ministry now invites proposals leading to the selection of a reputable Public Relations and Communications Agency to develop and coordinate communication strate­gies and plans to the fulfillment of this aspiration.

The Request For Proposal (RFP) will be conducted under Open National Tender and is open to all qualified and interested consultants. Qualified and interested consultants may obtain further information and inspect the tender (RFP) documents during office hours (0900 to 1700) at the address given below.

The interested candidates may request for clarifications on the Request for Proposals up to four (4) days before the RFP submission date. Any request for clarifications must be in writing and addressed to:

A complete set of RFP documents with detailed qualification criteria may be purchased or obtained by interested tenderers from the Supply Chain Management office on 1st Floor, Kawi Complex Block ‘A’ upon payment of a non- refundable fees of Kenya shillings one thousand only in cash or Banker’s Cheque and payable to Principal Secretary, Ministry of Energy. Tender documents may also be obtained electronically from the Website(s) www.energy.go.ke ,www.MyGov.go.ke, and www.tenders.go.ke free of charge. Those who obtain their RFP documents electronically are requested to submit the details of the firm name, postal and physical address, email and contact telephone number(s) for purposes of submitting any clarification and/or addenda to the RFP documents.

Completed Request for Proposal documents enclosed in plain sealed envelopes and marked with the tender name and reference number should be addressed to:

And be deposited in the Tender Box situated at the entrance, Ground Floor, Kawi Complex Block ‘A’ so as to be received on or before 5^th  January, 2022 at 12.00 pm.

The RFP documents will be opened immediately thereafter in the boardroom at 3rd floor Kawi Complex in the presence of the candidates or their representatives who choose to attend.

Late bids will be rejected and returned unopened.
