EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI) PREQUALIFICATION OF INTERIOR FIT-OUT FOR SPECIALIST CONTRACTORS

Trade and Development Bank Group-TDB Group is a specialized African multilateral financial institution serving most of the Eastern and Southern Africa. The Bank’s objective is to provide short, medium and long-term financing to viable projects and trade finance activities in member states.

TDB is currently carrying out an EDGE-Certified Grade ‘A’ office tower building development consisting of 3 Basements and 19 Upper Floors (22 Storey), along Lenana Road, Nairobi. The project, which is expected to be completed in December 2021, is referred to as the Nairobi Office Development Project [NODP]), shall be partially occupied by TDB, and it shall serve as the Bank’s main office in the region. TDB intends to Fit-out and move into the specific identified spaces and floors within the building when the works area complete.

The Scope of the Office Fit-out is as summarized below:

The total approximate Fit-out area is 6,900 square meters (sm) or 74,244 square feet (sft) made up of the following areas:

• Basement Level
• Level 0: Ground Floor Main Lobby
• Level 1: Auditorium & Training Rooms
• Level 2: Records Centre, Wellness Centre & Gym
• Level 3: Sky Garden
• Levels 4, 12 & 13: Meeting Pods
• Levels 9, 10, 14, 15 & 16: Offices
• Level 11: Sky Garden
• Levels 17 &18: Executive Offices &Terrace
• Level 19: Roof Terrace & Gym

The TDB Group would like to re-advertised to pre-qualify competent Interior Fit-Out Specialist Contractors, as part of the process of preparing for the Interior Fit-out Works in the following categories:

ADDITIONAL STATUTORY REQUIREMENTS

• Evidence of business registration with relevant Licensing and registration bodies (Not limited to valid certificates of incorporation, valid business licenses, etc.)
• Company Physical locations, Branches Legal Domicile, etc.
• NCA Registration (where applicable)
• Valid Tax Compliance Certificate
• Evidence of capacity to work in Kenya (if the company is foreign owned;.
• Evidence of adequate insurance risk covers and professional indemnities.
• List of Directors with contacts of at least 2 directors.

Technical Requirements/Capacity

• Listing of staff and personnel resources and technicians etc. and confirmation of their availability (Qualification should be relevant to the scope of works applied for) (CV’s to be provided *or main proposed project team).
• List of relevant plant, machinery and equipment including workshops .Were applicable).
• List of similar current relevant ongoing jobs/projects under construction and past projects. (With Reference Letters where applicable).
• Letters of Agency, Representation, Distributorship etc. for equipment manufacturers and software developers etc. (for specialist installations).
• Type of products, equipment, and software offered with catalogues/information as appropriate (for specialist installations).
• Capability statement to demonstrate ability to operate under tight timelines.

REQUISITE EXPERIENCES/CAPACITY

• Evidence of similar scale and scope of completed projects in the past five years and ongoing Fit-out works projects (photos, completion certificates, reference letters from past and current Clients, Architects, Engineers and Project Managers of relevant projects).

FINANCIAL CAPACITY

• Financial Statement Summaries of the last 3 years, audited, signed, and stamped.
• Demonstration of Financial Capacity (Letters of relationship/access to credit facilities confirmation with various financial institutions).

QUALITATIVE REQUIREMENTS

• Litigation and Arbitration history,
• Evidence of an unblemished record (Ethical conduct and integrity) and related declarations.
• Any other capacity/quality the firm may wish to make known.
• Updated Profiles and/or a website links for additional information.

Documents are to be delivered in two hard copies plus a soft copy in a CD/Flash Disk sealed and clearly labeled as EXPRESSION OF INTEREST for Design Fit-out Main Contractors or Specialist Contractor stating the category applied for delivered at 197 Lenana Place, Lenana Road, 1st Floor, TDB Reception.

If you wish to apply for more than one category, you must submit separate EOls for the respective categories. The EOI, which should be submitted on or before the CLOSE OF BUSINESS (4:30 PM) on 28^th September, 2021, must state the category of works and be labelled “Interior Fit-out Works for Nairobi Office Development Project (NODP) TDB BANK GROUP”, and be addressed to:
