INVITATION TO TENDER

Hospital Hill High School (HHHS) invites sealed bids from qualified and eligible bidders for the construction of a block of 2 laboratories as described below:-

Interested bidders may obtain Tender Documents from the Secretary BOM/ Principal, Hospital Hill High School in person. A non-refundable fee of Kshs. 1,000/- is to be paid in cash to the School’s Cash Office before 4.00pm on normal working days.

Only those meeting the criteria indicated below and the ones set out in the tender document as a minimum, supported by relevant documents at submission will be considered for further evaluation.

  1. Certificate of Company Incorporation/Firm Registration.
  2. Current Category of Registration with NCA 6 and above (building works, electrical & Mechanical) and valid annual practicing license.
  3. Bid Security (Kshs. 200,000.00). which must be in form of a Bank Guarantee from a reputable bank or approved insurance company in required format, amount and tender validity.
  4. A signed agreement between the bidder and their domestic subcontractors they propose to engage and who must meet the qualifications stated in the specialist works documents.
  5. Duly filled form of tender (filled, signed and stamped).
  6. Valid Tax Compliance Certificate.
  7. A copy of CR12.
  8. Bid submitted in the required format by the procuring entity.
  9. Power of attorney (of Tender Signatory).
  10. Valid Business Permit (County License/Permit).
  11. Duly filled Forms in the Conditions of Contract in the required format.

Further, tenders from the following tenders shall be treated as non-responsive and therefore subject to automatic disqualification:

  • A tender from a tenderer whose on-going project(s) is/are behind schedule and without approved extension of time.
  • A tender from tenderers with on-going project(s) exceeding four (4) in number, regardless of the total value of the outstanding works.
  • A tender from a tenderer who has been served with a default notice on on-going projects(s) or a tenderer who has been terminated in a Government Contract in the past.

Complete tender document to be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes, marked tender number and then deposited in the tender box at Hospital Hill High School – Nyari Estate, along Red Hill Road or mailed to the following address:-

So as to be received on or before Friday, 21st   October, 2022 at 10.30am.

Submitted bids will be opened publicly in the School’s boardroom soon after the above stated closing date and time in the presence of the tenderers or their representatives who choose to attend. Late bids will be returned unopened. Prices quoted must be net inclusive ofVAT and all Government Taxes and must remain valid for one hundred twenty six (126) days from the opening date of the tender.

The Bid Security, which must be from a reputable bank or from a PPRA accredited insurance company, shall be valid for one hundred fifty six (156) days from tender opening date.

The school reserves the right to reject any tender giving reasons for the rejection and does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
