INVITATION FOR TENDER
PROCURING ENTITY: STATE DEPARTMENT FOR INTERNAL SECURITY & NATIONAL ADMINISTRATION,

PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF KENYA COAST GUARD SERVICE STATION AND ASSOCIATED MECHANICAL, ELECTRICAL AND CIVIL ENGINEERING WORKS AT
LOWARENGAK KENYA COAST GUARD STATION, TURKANA COUNTY.
1. The Principal Secretary, State Department for Internal Security & National Administration, Kenya
Coast Guard Service invites sealed tenders for the construction of the above works
2. Tendering will be conducted under Open Tender using a standardized tender document. Tendering is
open to all qualified and interested Tenderers.
3. Invited tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender Documents during office hours
(0800 to 1600 hours) at the address given below.
4. A complete set of tender documents may be downloaded from the websites as shown in this
document. Tender documents obtained electronically will be free of charge.
5. All tenders must be accompanied by a tender Security of an amount equivalent to Kshs, 5,000,000.00
(Kshs, Five Million Shillings only) in form of bank guarantee from a reputable bank or insurance
companies approved by PPRA.
6. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the websites www.kcgs.go.ke or
www.tenders.go.ke and www.interior.go.ke. Tenderers who download the tender document must
forward their particulars immediately to hpd@kcgs.go.ke facilitate any further clarification or
addendum.
7. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted.
8. Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before 10th February, 2026 at 10.00
am. Electronic Tenders [will not] be permitted.
- Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any deadline
date and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the Tenderers’
designated representatives who choose to attend at the address below. - Site and pre-bid conference meeting for all prospective bidders – all bidders are advised to visit the site
at their own convenient time which is located in Turkana North Constituency, Turkana County,
coordinates (4.27435N, 35.89506E) Approximately 150km from Lodwar town and 40km South of Todonyang
11. Late tenders will be rejected.
12. Tenders shall be quoted be in Kenya Shillings and shall include all taxes. Tenders shall remain valid for
154 days from the date of opening of tenders or as indicated in the advertisement
