INVITATION TO TENDER
PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF MPEKETONI MULTIPURPOSE HALL PHASE II- (HALL CONSTRUCTION WORKS)
The County Government of Lamu invites sealed tenders for the PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF
MPEKETONI MULTI-PURPOSE HALL PHASE II- (HALL CONSTRUCTION WORKS)
1. Tendering will be conducted under open competitive method national using a standardized tender document.
Tendering is open to all qualified and interested Tenderers.
2. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender Documents during
office hours 0900 to 1500 hours at the address given below.
3. A complete set of tender documents may be purchased or obtained by interested tenders upon payment of a nonrefundable fees of Ksh. 1,000.00/= in cash or Banker’s Cheque and payable to the address given below. Tender
documents may be obtained electronically from the Websites www.lamu.go.ke and www.tenders.go.ke. Tender
documents obtained electronically will be free of charge.
4. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded free from the website www.lamu.go.ke and
www.tenders.go.ke. Tenderers who download the tender document must forward their particulars
immediately to procurement@lamu.go.ke to facilitate any further clarification or addendum.
5. Tenders shall be quoted be in Kenya Shillings and shall include all taxes. Tenders shall remain valid for 120
days from the date of opening of tenders.
The amount quoted shall also include 0.03%Public Procurement Capacity Building Levy Order
2023 (exclusive of all other taxes).
6. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Ksh. 360,000.00 Tender Security valid for 150 days issued by the
insurance firms or local banks approved by PPRA.
7. There shall be a SITE VISIT on 11
TH MARCH, 2026 at 11:00AM. Meeting Point will be
at MPEKETONI VOCATIONAL TRAINING CENTRE
8. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted.
9. Completed tenders must be submitted on the IFMIS SYSTEM on or before 19TH MARCH 2026 at
11:00am. MANUAL SUBMISSION of Tenders WILL NOT BE PERMITTED.
10. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any dead line date and
times pacified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the Tenderers’ designated representatives
who choose to attend at the address below.
- Late tenders will be rejected. The IFMIS System will automatically lock out at the time and date of tender closing.

The ORIGINAL Tender Security and ORIGINAL Form of Tender to be submitted MANUALY and dropped at the
Tender Box Located in County Government of Lamu Headquarters in Mokowe, Ground Floor on or before the
closing date and Bidders MUST attach Scanned copies of the Bid security together with the other documents in IFMIS
as stated in each bid document.
C. Addressfor Opening of Tenders.
Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any dead line date and time
specified later. There will be NO physical opening of the Tenders.
MANUAL SUBMISSIONS will NOT be accepted.
