PROPOSED RAICHIRI WATER-PAN DESILTING AND WATER WORKS FOR SMALL SCALE- IRRIGATION PROJECT

COUNTY GOVERNMENT OF NYANDARUA TENDER AUGUST 2021 

The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the Kenya Climate Smart Agriculture Project (KCSAP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for PROPOSED RAICHIRI WATER PAN DESILTING, CIVIL AND WATER WORKS FOR SMALL SCALE IRRIGATION PROJECT, in Leshau Pondo Ward, Ndaragwa Sub-County, Nyandarua County.

1. The County Government of Nyandarua now invites sealed bids from eligible Bidders for PROPOSED RAICHIRI WATER-PAN DESILTING, CIVIL AND WATER WORKS FOR SMALL SCALE IRRIGATION PROJECT.
2. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: ‘Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits and Grants by World Bank Borrowers’, dated January 2011 (revised July 2014) and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 16 and 17 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
3. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from the Nyandarua County website, www.nyandarua.go.ke  and also from the KCSAP Procurement Office Located at Department of Agriculture situated on the Njambini- Ol Kalou Junction, during normal working hours and inspect the bidding document during office hours i.e. 8.00am to 5.00pm at the address given below.
4. The Bidding document in English language may be obtained by interested bidders from the Nyandarua County Website www.nyandarua.go.ke free of charge.
5. The employer shall conduct a MANDATORY Pre-Tender Site Visit and meeting on 16^th August 2021 at the KCSAP Ol Kalou Offices situated on the Njambini-OI Kalou Junction at 10.00am before proceeding to the proposed site at Raichiri, in Leshau Pondo Ward, Ndaragwa Sub-County (N 0°4’57.39168″, E 36° 27r14.02308″),
6. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security amounting to KES 500,000 (five hundred thousand shillings only) from reputable banks.
7. Bids must be delivered to the address below and submitted on or before 6^th September, 2021 at 10.00am. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened immediately thereafter in the presence-of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend.
8. Complete tender documents (Original and one copy) are to be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes clearly marked with tender reference number NYA/CG/ALF/KCSAP/ONT/01/2021-2022. The financial bid should be sealed in a separate envelope and enclosed in the main tender envelope. The tender document should be deposited in the Tender Box at the Department of Agriculture situated on the Njambini-OI Kalou Junction and be addressed to:
