PROPOSED RENOVATIONS & EXTENSIONS TO REHABILITATION UNIT, DENTAL UNIT BLOCK, MEDICAL ENGINEERING BLOCK AND
STORM DRAINAGE WORKS AT KIBWEZI SUB COUNTY HOSPITAL BLOCK
1. The DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH SERVICES – MAKUENI COUNTY invites sealed tenders for the
PROPOSED RENOVATIONS & EXTENSIONS TO REHABILITATION UNIT, DENTAL UNIT
BLOCK, MEDICAL ENGINEERING BLOCK AND STORM DRAINAGE WORKS AT KIBWEZI SUBCOUNTY HOSPITAL
2. Tendering will be conducted under open competitive method –National Open Tendering using a standardized
tender document. Tendering is open to all qualified and interested Tenderers.
3. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender Documents during
office hours 0900 to 1700 hours at the address given below.
4. A complete set of tender documents may be obtained by interested tenders electronically from the Website(s)
www.makueni.go.ke or www.tenders.go.ke or www.suppliers.treasury.go.ke. Tender documents obtained
electronically will be free of charge.
5. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the website www.makueni.go.ke or
www.tenders.go.ke or www.suppliers.treasury.go.ke. Tenderers who download the tender document must
forward their particulars immediately to co.health@makueni.go.ke to facilitate any further clarification or addendum.
6. Tenders shall be quoted be in Kenya Shillings and shall include all taxes. Tenders shall remain valid for 140
days from the date of opening of tenders.
7. All Tenders must be accompanied by a tender Security of Kshs 100,000.00 from financial institutions
recognized by the Central Bank of Kenya or Insurance Companies approved by PPRA valid for a period
of 170 days from the date of tender opening.
8. The Tenderer shall chronologically and sequentially serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted
from the cover page to the last page including all attachments in the format of 1,2,3,4,5…
9. A mandatory pre-tender site visit is scheduled on 29/01/2026 at Kibwezi Sub County Hospital starting from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
- Completed tenders must be submitted on or before 5th February, 2026 electronically through IFMIS.
- IFMIS will automatically close immediately after the deadline date and time specified above. Tenders will be
opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above. Opening will take place online via
the IFMIS Sourcing portal at the procurement office, department of health services and in presence of
