INVITATION TO TENDER
PROPOSED SUPPLY, INSTALLATION, TESTING AND COMMISSIONING OF 48,000 LITRE ELEVATED STEEL WATER TANK AT RAGATI OFFICE

The Kenya Power and Lighting Company PLC invitessealed tendersfor PROPOSED SUPPLY, INSTALLATION,
TESTING AND COMMISSIONING OF 48,000 LITRE ELEVATED STEEL WATER TANK AT RAGATI
OFFICE for a contract Completion Period of 12 Weeks.
1. Tendering will be conducted under Restricted Tendering method using a standardized tender document.
Tenderingwill be to the approved pre qualified contractors list.
2. The Pre- qualified/Registered contractors may obtain further information from the Principal Supply Chain,
The Kenya Power & Lighting Company Plc at Electricity House 1st Floor, P.O. Box 30099 – 00100 Nairobi, Kenya.
3. A complete set of tender documents may be obtained electronically from the KPLC E- Procurement Portal –
RFx No. free of charge
4. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from KPLC E- procurement portal.
5. Tenders shall be quoted in Kenya Shillings and shall include all taxes. Tenders shall remain valid for a period of
180 days fromthe date of opening oftenders. Please note that prices indicated on the KPLC tendering portal
should be exclusive of VAT.
6. TheTenderershall chronologically serialize all pages ofthe tender documentssubmitted.
7. Completed Tenders are to be submitted in electronic format on the KPLC’s E-procurement portal on the due
date and time published on the portal. Tenderers are required to visit the portal from time to time for revised
closing dates and addendums. The Tender is to be submitted ONLINE on Monday 09th February, 2026 at
11:00 am or before the submission date and time as indicated on the KPLC tendering portal.

1. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any dead line date and
   time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence oftheTenderers’ designated representatives
   who choose to attend at Electricity House. All health protocols during opening must be observed and only one
   representative will be allowed at the Tender opening venue.
2. There will a Pre-bid/site visit meeting on Friday, 30th January, 2026 at 11:00 am at KPLC’S Ragati office.
   The site is located 1 kms from Nairobi CBD , along Ragati Road in Upper Hill. (NB All access roads are
   tarmacked) .
3. Late tenderswill be rejected.
