The Government of Kenya has committed to build her own capacity for the production of medical commodities, including human vaccines, as a long-term measure to ensure Kenya becomes self-sufficient in its pharmaceutical needs, in line with the Big Four Agenda and Vision 2030.
The Kenya BioVax Institute is a commercial/manufacturing company owned by the Government of Kenya tasked with the manufacturing and commercialisation of specialised Health Products and Technologies (HPTs) that include vaccines, therapeutics and other biomedical products. To achieve this objective, the Government of Kenya desires to recruit a GMP consultant and a firm to Design-Build-Commission-Maintain a fully-fledged vaccine manufacturing facility.
The Kenya BioVax Institute invites interested and eligible parties for the tenders as indicated below:

Upon downloading the tender documents, a notification is to be sent to the procurement office immediately for record purposes by email on procurement@biovax.go.ke
The envelope containing the tender document, bearing no indication of the bidder and clearly marked as indicated in the table above, should be deposited in the tender box at the Reception Area, Ground Floor, Ministry of Health, Afya House or sent by post to

Interested Bidders or their representatives are invited to witness the opening of the bids, to be held at the Ministry of Health Headquarters, Board Room 607, on the same day at 11.30 am East African Time.
Kenya BioVax Institute may terminate the procurement proceedings prior to entering into a contract and reserves the right to accept or reject any or all tenders, without being bound to give reasons for its decision or incurring any liability. The Institute is also not obligated to award to the firm that offers the lowest price.
