PROVISION OF MEDICAL INSURANCE COVER FOR COUNTY STAFF 2023 – TRCG

COUNTY GOVERNMENT OF TANA RIVER TENDER JANUARY 2023 

The County Government of Tana River invites sealed bids from Interested firms for the tenders specified hereunder.

Interested bidders can view/obtain the tender document from the County Government of Tana River website www.tanarivercounty.go.ke  and/or the IFMIS tender portal www.supplier.treasury.go.ke  using the unique IFMIS negotiation number given above.

N/B: Hard copies will not be accepted

Interested bidders should note that only those meeting the criteria indicated below as a minimum, supported by relevant documents at submission will be considered for further evaluation.

1. Provide a certified copy of incorporation/registration certificate (Must have been in existence for at least ten (10) year
2. Provide a certified and valid copy of CR12 and IDs for all listed directors
3. Must have been registered as medical insurance underwriter for the past five years (Attach IRA Licenses for the five years)
4. Provide Copy of Current and Valid Tax Compliance from KRA
5. Provide certified copy of certificate of registration with IRA – medical category and current AKI
6. Submit certified NSSF and NHIF compliance certificate (attach current receipt of payment).
7. Duly filled signed and stamped anti-fraud declaration form as provided
8. Duly filled signed and stamped debarment form as provided
9. Submit a draft medical cover policy
10. Paid Up Capital of at least 600 MILLION
11. Gross annual premium of at least Ksh. 3 billion in the year 2021with paid net claim at least 1 BILLION.
12. Must have at least FIVE (5) medical clients of which must have an annual premium of at least Kshs.100 Million for the last Two (2) years each attach award and reference letter copies.
13. Submit certified audited accounts for 3 (three) years (2021, 2020, 2019)
14. Provide a list of specialists, hospitals and pharmacies country wide under your cover.
15. Submit commitment letter to provide uninterrupted cover for inpatient and outpatient, chronic, HIV/AIDS, congenital, pre-term, pre- existing, dental, optical conditions, psychiatric treatments and maternity cover as per the specific Job groups cover as stipulated by SRC.
16. Submit commitment letter to provide VIP rooms for categories A and B, En- suite rooms for categories C and D, private rooms for category E , and General rooms for staff categories F as per SRC.
17. Tender is clearly indexed, and all pages serialized, stamped and counter signed
18. Must have a valid single business permit from Tana River County Government
19. Valid signed contract with medical travel agency capable of facilitating Overseas treatment on credit basis for the purpose of advanced treatment or cost-effective treatment
20. Commitment letter to Cater for accommodation/ Lodger fees for those accompanying children below 12 years

Bidders MUST submit their application through the IFMIS Portal not later than 2^nd  FEB, 2023. Tenders will be opened on 02nd FEB, 2023 at system indicated time at the

Tana  river county government procurement office in the presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend.
