PROVISION OF SECURITY SERVICES TO KESRETI HEADQUARTES AND CENTRES 

CONTRACT REFERENCE NUMBER KESRETI/OT/003//2025-26 

1. The Kenya Sugar Research and Training Institute (KESRETI) invites sealed tenders
   for the Provision of Security Services to KESRETI Headquarters and Centres for a period
   of two (2) years, with possibility of a one-year extension subject to satisfactory performance.
2. Tendering will be conducted under open competitive method using a standardized tender document.
   Tendering is open to all qualified and interested tenderers.
3. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender Documents
   during office hours from 0900hrs to1500 hours at the address given below.

   More details on the Services are provided in PART 2 – Services’ Requirements, Section V –
   Description of Services of the Tender Document.
4. A complete set of tender documents may be purchased or obtained by interested tenders upon
   payment of a non-refundable fees of Ksh 1,000.00 in cash or Banker’s Cheque and payable to the
   Managing Director Kenya Sugar Research and Training Institute (KESRETI). Tender documents
   may be obtained electronically from the KESRETI website https:// www.kesreti.org or from The
   National Treasury portal https://www. tenders@go.ke. Tender documents obtained electronically
   will be free of charge.
5. Those who download the tender document and intend to submit a bid are required to register their
   details at tenders@kesreti.org so as to be able to receive any further clarifications or
   addendum/addenda.
6. All Tenders must be accompanied by an original tender security (Bid bond) of Kenya Shillings
   Three hundred thousand (300,000.00) in form of a Bank guarantee from a bank licensed and
   operating in Kenya, valid for thirty 120 days after tender closing date. This shall be in the format
   provided in the tender document.
7. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted.
8. Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before March 3rd 2026 at

11.30hrs East African Time. Electronic Tenders WILL NOT be permitted.
And deposited in the Tender Box at the reception area, KESRETI Headquarters, Kibos.
Tenders that do not fit in the tender box shall be deposited at the Managing Director’s, Office –
Administration Block, 1st floor .
9. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any
deadline date and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the
Tenderers’ designated representatives who choose to attend at the address below.
10. Late tenders will be rejected.
