Description
The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON) seeks to engage a qualified and experienced civil engineering contracting firm(s) to design and construct an upgraded septic tank(s) and waste water reticulation system at the UN0N Complex. The objective is to establish a reliable, compliant, and scalable wastewater treatment solution that:
- Meets current operational wastewater treatment needs
- Complies with Kenyan environmental and public health regulations
- Aligns with international wastewater management standards (WHO guidelines)
- Provides capacity for future expansion to accommodate increased demand
- Ensures minimal disruption to ongoing UN operations during implementation
Stage 1: Immediate Upgrade (Mandatory)
Tol be executed to address the current wastewater treatment infrastructure. The works shall be implemented over four (4) distinct phases
- Phase 1: Planning and Design
- Phase 2: Construction
- Phase 3: Decommissioning
- Phase 4: Post-Construction
Stage 2: Future Expansion (Optional)
Design shall accommodate potential additional capacity for approximately 3,000 persons during peak periods
