The Government of the Republic of Kenya has received a loan from the African Development Fund (ADF) for a Project establishing the East Africa’s Centre of Excellence in Nephrology and Urology Sciences called the East Afri- can Kidney Institute (EAKI). It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under consultancy services.
In light of the above function, the Ministry of Health intends to engage an individual consultant for the following assignment:

The services to be provided under this consultancy will include, but not necessarily limited to the following:
- Develop a Regional integration strategic plan and implementation guide on higher medical education and research
- Develop a policy and operational guideline to guide and facilitate enrolment of students from EAC member states
- Review the existing draft labour market policy assessment tools with aim of improving and adapting them for use to produce a regional labor market policy and supporting operational arrangements to enhance regional integration in skilled labor
The Ministry of Health, now invites eligible consultants to indicate their interest in providing these services. Inter- ested consultants must provide information indicating that they are qualified to perform the services (brochures, description of similar assignments, experience in similar conditions, etc.).
Eligibility criteria, establishment of the short-list and the selection procedure shall be in accordance with the African Development Bank’s “Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations”, dated October 2015” which is available on the Bank’s website at http://www.afdb.org.
