Rehabilitation/ Refurbishment works at New KPCU in Dandora, Sagana, Meru and KPCU Headquarters

NATIONAL AGRICULTURAL AND RURAL INCLUSIVE GROWTH PROJECT TENDER 2021

1. The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the National Agricultural and Rural Inclusive Growth Project (NARIGP) and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Rehabilitation / refurbishment works at New KPCU Headquarters, Dandora, Sagana and Meru
2. The Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Cooperatives now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for Rehabilitation/ Refurbishment works as shown below

3. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures as spec­ified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers dated January 2011 and revised July 2014. (“Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.

4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information at the National Agricultural and Rural Inclusive Growth Project; Procurement office situated at Capitol Hill Towers, Cathedral Road Nai­robi and inspect the bidding documents during office hours from Monday to Friday from 8.00 am to 5.00 pm excluding weekends and public holidays
5. A complete set of bidding documents in English language and technical drawings may be pur­chased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable fee of KES 1000 in cash or Bankers Cheque in favor of Principal Secretary, State Department for Crops Development and Agricultural Research at cash office situated at Kilimo House, Lower ground floor, Cathedral road Nairobi. The bidding document may be collected from the NARIGP Supply chain office upon production of a purchase receipt. The bidding documents and technical drawings can also be downloaded free of charge from the Ministry’s website: www.kilimo.go.ke. Bidders who download the bidding document are requested to inform the procuring entity and fully provide their contact details. This will be used in the event there is need to communicate to all interested bidder
6. Bids must be delivered to the address below and addressed to: Principle Secretary, State Department for Crops Development and Agricultural Research P.O Box 30028 -00100 at ministry’s tender box, Kilimo house along Cathedral road Nairobi on or before 21^st April, 2021 10.00 am East African time. Clearly indicate the lot number on the envelope. Bulk biding documents can be delivered to: Head Supply Chain Management Services office 4th Floor.

Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below

7. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of the amount stated against each lot as shown below and must be valid for 28 days beyond the tender validity period.
