REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL |
REPAIRS & REINSTATEMENT OF TDB RENTED OFFICES
- BACKGROUND
Established in 1985, the Eastern and Southern African Trade and Development Bank (TDB) is a multilateral, treaty-based development financial institution, with assets of US$ 7 billion. The Bank’s mandate is to finance and foster trade, regional economic integration, and sustainable development through trade finance, project and infrastructure finance, asset management, and business advisory services.
- GENERAL OBJECTIVE AND SCOPE OF WORK
TDB is planning to vacate their current rented offices from 197 Lenana Place, Laiboni Centre and Zep-Re Building and move to its newly constructed office and therefore wish to reinstate the rented offices to their original conditions as per lease requirements with various landlords.
Repairs and reinstatement work will include, but not limited to:-
- Silk white painting in the entire offices
- Carpet shampooing and cleaning
- Repairs to both electrical and plumbing facilities
- Lock replacements where applicable, and
- Removal of debris
The size the offices are:-
- 197 Lenana Place (1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th Floors) – 21,815 square feet
- Zep-Re Building Ground Floor – 1,950 square feet
- Laiboni Centre (2nd and 5th Floors) -7,250 square feet
- INFORMATION FOR ALL BIDDERS
Site Visit
Bidders must conduct a Site visit before submitting proposals through enquiries on email provided below thereafter date and time of visit will be provided. After the site visit bidders to submit a applicable methodology as part of their Technical Proposal for repairs and redecoration including timelines.
Validity of the Bids
The bids received will be valid for a period of ninety (90) days from the date of opening.
Bids Opening
Bids will be opened immediately after the bid closing date in the presence of the bidders who chose to attend, late bids will not be considered.
Health & Safety
All work shall comply with all applicable national regulations and health requirements. The vendor shall assume full responsibility and liability for compliance with all applicable regulations pertaining to the health and safety of personnel during the execution of work. All bidders will be expected to secure all statutory requirement/ permit to execute the works.

Submission
All interested firms to submit their Technical and Financial Proposal (s) in US Dollars, Respondents to the RFP should submit their documents zipped and sent to; procurement@tdbgroup.org as subject matter labelled EXPRESSION OF INTEREST FOR REPAIRS & REINSTATEMENT before noon Tuesday 31st January, 2023: TRADE AND DEVELOPMENT BANK ( TDB ); 197 LENANA PLACE, LENANA Rd„ 1st Floor, P.O. BOX 48596-00-100, NAIROBI – KENYA.
The proposal(s) must include:
- A written proposal showcasing the firm’s understanding of scope of works, equipment available for works, and previous experience. The written proposal is to indicate the work methodology detailing all items listed in the terms of reference.
- Team composition and current similar task assignment.
- Detailed reference list indicating the scope and magnitude of similar assignments done in the last three (3) years.
- Legally certified copies of Registration certificates, Memorandum and Articles of Association, Form CR12, Trading Licenses and other statutory documents including valid Tax Compliance Certificate (those without valid TCC are advised not to apply) and passport or ID copies of the shareholders and directors of the firm and valid license to undertake the services.
- 5 corporate references for similar works with contact details and any certification will be an added advantage.
