REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL(RFP) FOR PROVISION OF TRAINING SERVICES FOR AGRIBUSINESS MANAGEMENT IN HYDROPONIC FARMING
Miramar International Foundation (MIF) implements corporate programs with primary objective to contribute towards societal transformation in education, sustainable agriculture, health and enterprise development. This is achieved through the creation of replicable, scalable and sustainable solutions to development problems using the Science, Technology, Innovation and Partnerships (STIP) framework. The foundation’s aim is to reach women, youth and society at large through its programmes.
In relation to the above interventions, MIF has partnered with GIZ who have given funds to train 1,500 youth beneficiaries with an emphasis on hydroponics driven food crop production. These beneficiaries will be located in Isiolo, Kajiado and Meru. This will help in achieving the program objective of providing 1,500 youth beneficiaries with the diverse agribusiness support and techniques to drive employment and wealth creation in the agriculture sector.
To ensure that the above objective is achieved MIF is seeking Request for proposals from training institutions within the areas of interest which have the capacity to:
- Give practical oriented training in agribusiness management with an emphasis on hydroponic technology;
- Offer Business Development Training & Support including life skills, work readiness training and enterprise development skills necessary to drive employment and wealth creation in the agricultural sector;
- Facilitate access to diverse off-take market options;
- Provision of production support for the beneficiaries and
- Facilitate access to credit for beneficiaries.

- Completed RFQ documents are to be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes, marked and clearly labelled with the RFQ Number and Name with the instructions “Do not open before Tuesday, 11th May 2021 at 1200 hours (East Africa Time). The bids will be addressed to:

III. Bids to be dropped at the Tender Box located at the reception of MIF Offices, Muthithi Road, TRV Plaza, Suit ID on or before Tuesday, 11th May 2021 at 1200 hours (East Africa Time).
