INVITATION TO TENDER
TENDER NO. KeNHA/2939/2026
MULTINATIONAL: KENYA – SOUTH SUDAN ROAD CORRIDOR LESSERU-KITALE AND MORPUS-LOKICHAR ROAD UPGRADING PROJECT PHASE 1:
SUPPLY OF FIVE (5) NO.AMBULANCES FOR UASIN GISHU, KAKAMEGA, TRANS-NZOIA, WEST POKOT AND TURKANA COUNTIES
2. The Government of the Republic of Kenya (GoK) has received financing in form of a loan from the African Development
Bank (AfDB) hereinafter called the Bank toward the cost of the Multinational: Kenya – South Sudan Road
Corridor Lesseru – Kitale and Morpus – Lokichar Road Upgrading Project, Phase I. The Kenya National Highways
Authority, the implementing agency of the Government of Kenya intends to apply a portion of the proceeds of this
loan to eligible payments under the contract for which this request for bids is issued. Payments by the Bank will be
made only at the request of the Government of Kenya and upon approval by the Bank, and will be subject, in all
respects, to the terms and conditions of the loan agreement. The loan agreement prohibits a withdrawal from the
loan account for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, or for any import of goods, if such payment or
import, to the knowledge of the Bank, is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security council taken under
Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations. Other conditions of eligibility are mentioned in the tender document.
No party other than the Government of Kenya shall derive any rights from the loan agreement or have any claims to
the proceeds of the loan.
3. The Kenya National Highways Authority (KeNHA) now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for Supply of five (5)
No. Ambulances for Uasin Gishu, Kakamega, Trans-Nzoia, West Pokot and Turkana Counties
4. Tendering will be conducted under Open Competitive Bidding Method (OCB) using a standardized tender document.
Tendering is open to all qualified and interested tenderers.
5. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender Documents during office
hours [0800 to1700hours] at the address given below.
6. A complete set of tender document may be obtained by interested tenderers from the Kenya National Highways
Authority (KeNHA) website: www.kenha.co.ke or Public Procurement Information Portal (PPIP): www.tenders.
go.ke free of charge or from KeNHA Headquarters, Barabara Plaza, 2nd Floor Block C Supply Chain Management
Department during normal working hours upon payment of non-refundable fee of Kshs. 1,000.00 (One thousand
shillings only) in form of a banker’s cheque payable to Kenya National Highways Authority.
7. All Tenders must be accompanied by a tender security of Kenya Shillings One Million Only (Kshs. 1,000,000.00) in
the form of Unconditional Bank Guarantee from a reputable bank in Kenya and valid for 28 days beyond the tender
validity period.
8. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted.
9. Completed tender documents are to be enclosed in a plain sealed envelope clearly marked with tender name and
reference number, and addressed to:-

and deposited in the Tender Box at the Barabara Plaza, Block C, Second Floor, JKIA, Nairobi, Off Mazao Road
(Opposite KCAA Headquarters), so as to be received on or before, 30th April, 2026 at 11.00 AM.
10. Electronic Tenders will not be permitted.
11. Late tenders will be rejected.
12. Opening of the bids will take place on 30th April,2026 at 11.00 AM at Block C, 2nd Floor Board Room,
Barabara Plaza, JKIA, Nairobi, Off Mazao Road (Opposite KCAA Headquarters), in the presence of Tenderers/
Representatives who wish to attend.

addendums or clarifications that may arise before the submission date.
All submitted Documents may be verified from the issuing agencies. KeNHA Reserves the right to verify all
