Invitation for Bids

PROGRAMME: KENYA TOWNS SUSTAINABLE WATER SUPPLY AND SANITATION PROGRAM (KTSWSSP) PROCUREMENT OF GOODS

SUPPLY, DELIVERY, INSTALLATION, CONFIGURATION & COMMISIONING OF AN INTEGRATED BILLING SYSTEM FOR LIMURU WATER & SEWERAGE COMPANY

1. This Invitation for Bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this project that appeared in UNDB online on 31st March 2017.
2. The Government of Kenya has received Financing from the African Development Bank in various currencies towards the cost of Kenya Towns Sustainable Water Supply and Sanitation Programme. It is intended that part of the proceeds of this loan will be applied to eligible payments under the contract for Supply, Delivery, Installation, Configuration & Commissioning of an Integrated Billing System for Limuru Water & Sewerage Company.
3. The Athi Water Works Development Agency, the executing agency of the project, now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bid­ders for the Supply, Delivery, Installation, Configuration & Commissioning of an Integrated Billing System for Limuru Water & Sewerage Company
4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the bidding documents at the office of The Chief Executive Officer, Athi Water Works Development Agency, Athi Water Plaza, Muthaiga North Rd, Off Kiambu Road, P.O. Box 45283-00100Nairobi, Kenya., during office hours (8.00am to 5.00pm East African Time) on week days except public holidays.
5. A complete set of bidding documents may be purchased by interested bidders on the submission of a written application to the above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Kshs. 1,000 (Kenya Shillings One Thousand Only). The doc­uments can also be downloaded from the AWWDA website: www.awwda.go.ke and www.tenders.go.ke, Bidders who download the bidding document from the website MUST forward their particulars immediately to procurement@awwda.go.ke, for records and any further clarifications and addenda.
6. Procurement will be in accordance with the Bank’s “Procurement Policy for Bank Group Funded Operations” dated October 2015, using the Bank’s Procurement Methods and Procedures for Open Competitive Bidding (international adver­tising). The provisions in the Instructions to Bidders and in the General Conditions are those of the Bank’s Standard Bidding Document for Procurement of Goods.
7. Domestic Preference of 15% to the bid price will apply.
8. Bids must be delivered to the above office on or before 12.00pm East African Time on 14^th July, 2021 and must be accom­panied with a bid a security (Unconditional Bank Guarantee) of KES. 200,000.00 (Kenya Shillings Two Hundred Thousand Shillings Only).
9. Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at 12.05pm East African Time on Wednesday, 14th July, 2021 at the offices of:
