- INTRODUCTION
Safaricom PLC is a leading telecommunications company offering a comprehensive range of integrated telecommunication services, including mobile and fixed Voice, SMS, Data, Internet, Mobile Money (M-PESA) and e-Commerce to over 30 million subscribers. Our efforts are geared towards positively impacting the lives of those in the communities around us and thus we strive to change the present to improve the future.
- BACKGROUND
This Expression of Interest (EOI) document is intended to lead to the identification of supplier(s) that can demonstrate capacity to Supply and deliver drinking water for Safaricom office blocks, regional offices, retail shops, switches and MSR sites countrywide in the best possible way and in a manner that enables Safaricom to meets its customer expectations and deliver the company strategic objectives. Safaricom has 7 main office blocks, 2 Regional Offices, 19 switches and 49 retail shops which are located across Nairobi, Mt. Kenya, Western/Nyanza, Coast and Rift Valley.
- OBJECTIVES
Safaricom is therefore soliciting from interested companies an Expression of Interest clearly showing the following:
- A profile of the company detailing the years of experience as prime suppliers of drinking water
- List of corporate clients, contact details, specific locations and years of service. (Recommendation letter to be attached min 5 years)
- Share details of your production plants and distribution outlets per region.
- Company Health and Safety policy, processes, procedures and company’s Risk treatment plan.
- Share details of your health and safety personnel (CVs and valid certifications attached)
- Valid operating Permits and licenses
- PROJECT DELIVERABLES
The specific deliverables are as listed below;
- Provision of hot & cold-water dispensers, water racks and water trollies
- Provide sanitization and servicing for water dispensers.
- Ensure frequent collection & refilling of the 18.9lts bottles
- Undertake distribution for this water to all Safaricom facilities as per schedule.
- Make repairs and replacements of worn parts and maintain the water coolers
- Conduct quality & safety checks for water supplied to Safaricom facilities & maintain these records.
- SUBMISSION OF RESPONSES
Interested suppliers should submit their response to this EOI request in soft copy addressed to the attention of the Category Sourcing Manager. The EOI should be emailed to Caroline Mbithe Kiteme through CKiteme@Safaricom.co.ke On or before 15th May 2023 6:00 PM (Kenyan Time).

- Safaricom reserves, at its sole discretion, the right to select or reject, either in totality or partially, any or all proposals made in the context of this EOI. Any such decisions made will be final and no correspondence will be engaged into, other than for the purpose of informing the bidders of the outcome of the process.
