SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF MOTOR VEHICLES – WATER SECTOR TRUST FUND

WATER SECTOR TRUST FUND TENDER AUGUST 2021 

Water Sector Trust Fund (WaterFund) is the Kenyan State Corporation under the Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irri­gation with the mandate of providing conditional and unconditional grants to the Counties and to assist in financing the development and management of water and sanitation services in the rural and urban marginalised and underserved areas as per Water Act 2016.

WaterFund has received financing from the World Bank towards the National Performance Based Financing (NPBF) Program. WaterFund intends to apply part of the proceeds to procure three (3) units 4×4 Motor Vehicles.

1.1               Interested eligible bidders may inspect and obtain bidding documents from our procurement office during office working hours (08:0am – 05:00pm) on week days except public holidays at a cost of KES 1,000 or download free of charge from our website https://waterfund.go.ke/downloads/tenders or at http://tenders.go.ke. Bid­ders who download the tender documents must forward their particulars immediately to procurement@waterfund.go.ke for communication of any tender clarifications.

1.2               Bids must be delivered at our offices on or before 10:30 am, 15th September, 2021 and must be accompanied with a bid security from a reputable bank in form of cheque in the amount of KES 750,000 with a bid validity of 120 days from the bid submission date. Late bids will not be accepted and any canvassing or giving of false information will lead to automatic disqualification.

1.3               Bidding will be conducted through open national competitive procurement using Request for Bids (RFB) as spec­ified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” detailed November, 2020 4th Edition and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

1.4               Duly completed tender documents are to be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes, marked with the tender refer­ence number WSTF/RFB/MV/01/2021-2022 and be deposited in the tender box provided at the Water Sector Trust Fund’s Reception located at CIC Plaza 1, 1st Floor along Mara Road in Upper Hill, Nairobi or be ad­dressed to:

Bids will be opened immediately thereafter in the presence of the bidders or their representatives who choose to attend at 10:30 AM East Africa Time on 15^th September, 2021 at our offices while observing Ministry of Health prescribed COVID-19 protocols.
