SUPPLY, DELIVERY, CONSTRUCTION, TESTING AND COMMISSIONING OF 28.6 KM PIPELINES

NYERI WATER AND SANITATION COMPANY LIMITED TENDER JUNE 2025 

REQUEST FOR BIDS – WORKS

1. The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Water and Sanitation Development Project – Conditional Liquidity Support Grant (CLSG) II, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Various Works as detailed below.
2. Nyeri Water and Sanitation Company Limited now invites sealed Bids from eligible Contractors for works as indicated in the table below:

Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s “Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers” dated July 2016, revised 5th Edition September 2023 (“Procurement Regulations”), which can be found in the following website: www.worldbank.org/procurement  and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations
4. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information Nyeri Water and Sanitation Company Limited Headquarters, situated Off Kenyatta Road Behind Nyeri County Fire Offices, Nyeri Town and inspect the bidding document during office hours 0800 to 1700 hours excluding weekends and public holidays at the address below.
5. The bidding document in English may be downloaded free of charge from the company’s website: www.nyewasco.co.ke or from Public Procurement Information Portal’s website: https://tenders.go.ke. Bidders who download the bidding documents must notify the Procurement Entity by email to: info@nyewasco.co.ke with full contact details that they intended to participate before closing date. This will facilitate issuance of notifications by the Procurement Entity, to all bidders where necessary. Bidders are advised to visit the website regularly to check any additional information, clarifications or addenda.
6. There will be a mandatory site visit on; Thursday, 3rd July 2025, at 11,00 am and site visit certificates shall be issued.
7. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before the closing date and time indicated above. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. E ds will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on Friday, 11th July 2025 at 11:00 am East African Time (EAT).
8. All Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security in the form of a Bank Guarantee of Kshs. 500,000.00
9. Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
