WATER AND SANITATION DEVELOPMENT PROJECT TENDER 2021 

The county Goverrnment of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of water and Sanitation Development Project (WSDP) and it intends to apply part of the proceeds towards the payments for the following:

CONSTRUCTION OF 15No. ABLUTION BLOCKS IN MOMBASA COUNTY,

Contract No. (KE-MOWASCO-228804-CW-RFB).

SUPPLY & DELIVERY OF 2NO. MOTOR VEHICLES (DOUBLE CABIN)

Contract No. (KE-MO WASCO-231719-GO – RFB).

1. The Mombasa Water Supply & Sanitation Company Limited now invites sealed bids from eligible and qualified bidders for the following:

CONSTRUCTION OF 15No. ABLUTION BLOCKS IN MOMBASA COUNTY. The construction period is 6 months (exclusive of 3 months defects liability period).

SUPPLY & DELIVERY OF 2NO. MOTOR VEHICLES (DOUBLE CABIN)

2. The scope of works comprises of Ablution Blocks to be constructed in Mombasa Island, North Mainland and West Mainland of Mombasa County.
3. Pre bid meeting and site visit for the CONSTRUCTION OF 15No. ABLUTION BLOCKS IN MOMBASA COUNTY will be on Tuesdaythe 8th of June, 2021 at 0900hrs (EAT) at Mombasa Water Supply & Sanitation Co. Ltd, Mikindani Street, Off Nkrumah Road, Mombasa.
4. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers, January 2021, as revised in July 2014, and is open to all bidders from Eligible Source Countries as defined in the Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraph 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.
5. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from the address given below; from 0830 hours to 1630 hours’ local time from Monday to Friday, except during lunch hour (1300hours to 1400 hours), during weekends and public holidays.
6. A complete set of Bidding Documents in English may be downloaded free of charge from the Mombasa Water Supply & Sanitation Co. Ltd Website (www.mombasawater.co.ke). Bidders who download the bidding documents are required to notify the purchaser by email:info@mombasawater.co.kewith full contact details that they intend to participate, this will facilitate issuance of notifications by the purchaser to all bidders where necessary. No arrangements have been made for other methods of delivery of bidding documents.
7. Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 1100 Hours EAT as indicated in the table below. The packages should be clearly marked the contract number and name as indicated in the table below. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will only be opened in the presence of the bidders or their representatives virtually through video conferencing, details on the same can be found in the Bidding Document.
