INVITATION TO TENDER  

TENDER FOR PROVISION OF INSURANCE COVER FOR STAFF & PROPERTY
TENDER NO. TTU/OT/05/2022-2023 

The Taita Taveta University (TTU) invites sealed tenders for the Provision of Insurance Covers for a period of one
year.
1. Tendering will be conducted under open competitive tendering method using a standardized tender
document and is open to all qualified and interested tenderers. Tenderers will be allowed to tender for
one or more items.
2. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender Document
during office hours i.e. .0800 to 1700 hours at the address given below. Tender documents may be
viewed and/or downloaded free of charge from the Taita Taveta University (TTU)website
www.ttu.ac.ke or from the government tender portal www.tenders.go.ke
3. A complete set of tender documents may be purchased or obtained by interested tenders upon payment
of a non- refundable fees of KES 1,000.00 in cash or Banker’s Cheque and payable to the address given
below. Tender documents obtained electronically will be free of charge.
Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the website www.ttu.ac.ke . Tenderers who download
the tender document must forward their particulars immediately to;

4. All Tenders must be accompanied by a “tender Security” of KES.100,000.00 issued by a reputable bank/
Financial Institution approved and licensed by the Central Bank of Kenya or Insurance bond from the firms
approved by the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority valid for a period of 120 days.
5. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted.
6. Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before 28th March, 2023 at 11:00 am
Electronic Tenders will not be permitted.
7. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any other deadline
date and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the Tenderers’ designated
representatives who choose to attend at the address below.
8. Late tenders will be rejected.
