- The Government of Kenya has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost
of Kenya Marine Fisheries and Socioeconomic Development Project (KEMFSED), and it intends
to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for Supply and Delivery of
5 No. Longliner Offshore Fishing Boats. - The Fisheries and Blue Economy (County Department) now invites sealed bids from eligible
Bidders for Supply and Delivery of 5 No. Longliner Offshore Fishing Boats; -
Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using Request for Bids
(RFB) as specified in the World Bank’s Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers Fifth Edition
September 2023 (“Procurement Regulations”) and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in
the Procurement Regulations. - Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Kenya Marine Fisheries SocioEconomic Development Project (KEMFSED) (County Office) Procurement Office situated at
Lamu Maritime training and Innovation Center-mail: kemfsed.coordinator@lamu.go.ke,

Friday excluding weekends and public holidays during office hours East Africa Time from
0800hours – 1700hours and inspect the bidding document during office hours at the address
given below. - A complete set of bidding document in English may be obtained by interested eligible Bidders
from our County government website at www.lamu.go.ke or at Public Procurement
Information Portal http://tenders.go.ke. - Bids must be deposited into the tender box located on the Lamu Maritime training and
Innovation Center located at the roundabout along Lamu port highway to be received on or
before 17th
November 2025 at 11.00 hrs. EAT (Local Time). The bids should be clearly
marked ‘Supply and Delivery of 5 No. Longliner Offshore Fishing Boats, Tender No
CGL/KEMFSED/RFB/01/2025-2026. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be opened in the
presence of Bidders’ representatives who choose to attend at the address below on 17th November 2025 at 11.00 hrs. EAT (Local Time).
Electronic bids SHALL NOT be accepted.
- All bids must be accompanied by bid security of, issued by a reputable Bank in Kenya shillings
Two Million, Five Hundred Thousand (KES. 2,500,000) in Kenya Shillings Only which must
remain in full force and effect up to and including 28 days after the date of expiration of the
Bid validity. NB Insurance Bond will not be accepted. - Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose
information on the successful bidder’s beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award
