INVITATION TO TENDER
SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF LECTURE CHAIRS
TENDER NO: KarU/OT/007/2023-2024
1. Karatina University invites sealed tenders for the supply and delivery of lecture chairs
2.Tendering will be conducted under open competitive tendering method using a standardized tender
document and is Open to all eligible bidders. Tenders will be awarded on the basis of framework
agreements.
3.Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender
Documents during office hours 0900 to 1700 hours at the Procurement Office, Karatina University
, Main Campus Kagochi
4.A complete set of tender documents may be purchased or obtained by interested tenders upon
payment of a non- refundable fee of KES 1,000/= by Banker’s Cheque and payable to the address
given below. Tender documents obtained electronically will be free of charge.
5.Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the website www.karu.ac.ke or the
Government Public Procurement Information Portal www.tenders.go.ke Tenderers who download
the tender document must forward their particulars immediately to procurement@karu.ac.ke to
facilitate any further clarification or addendum.
6.All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Security in the amount of Kenya Shillings three
Hundred Thousand Only (KES 300,000/=) and shall be in the form of an on-demand Bank
Guarantee issued by a reputable bank or insurance companies approved by PPRA located in
Kenya.
7.The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted.
8.Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before 22nd May, 2024 at 11:00am
EAT. Electronic Tenders will not be permitted.
9.Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any
deadline date and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened at the address below in the
presence of the Tenderers’ designated representatives who choose to attend.
Late tenders will be rejected.
