INVITATION TO TENDER
TENDER FOR SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF MECHATRONIC EQUIPMENT AND SUPPLIES AT THE KIAMBU NATIONAL POLYTECHNIC.
The Kiambu National Polytechnic invites sealed tenders for supply and delivery of
Mechatronic equipment and Supplies. Tendering will be conducted under open competitive
method (Open National Tender) using a standardized tender document and is open to all
qualified and interested Tenderers. The tender will be subject to multiple contracts i.e lowest
bidder per title thatmeetsthe requirements. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further
information and inspect the Tender Documents during office hours [8:00 am – 5:00 pm] at the
address given below.

A complete set of tender documents may be obtained electronically from the Institute Website:
www.kist.ac.ke or PPIP Portal: https://tenders.go.ke Tender documents obtained electronically
will be free of charge.
Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the website www.kist.ac.ke or
PPIP Portal: https://tenders.go.ke Tenderers who download the tender document must forward
their particulars immediately to procurement@kist.ac.ke to facilitate any further clarification or
addendum.
Tenders shall be quoted in Kenya Shillings and shall include all taxes. Tenders shall remain
valid for (120) days from the date of opening of tenders.
All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Security of Kshs. 300,000 in form of a bankers
cheque, a bank guarantee / bankers cheque from a reputable bank approved by the PPRA located
in Kenya.
The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted.
Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before Tuesday 19th December,
2023. Electronic Tenders will not be permitted.
Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any
dead line date and times specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the
Tenderers’ designated representatives who choose to attend at the address below.
Late tenders will be rejected.

Completed tender documents are to be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes, marked with the
tender number and name and be deposited in the Tender Box at The Kiambu National
Polytechnic or be addressed to: –

Tuesday 19th December, 2023 at 10:00am.
Tenders that do not fit in the tender box will be submitted at the Procurement Office in the
Administration Block A.
Opening of the bid documents will be done immediately thereafter in the presence of
applicants or their representatives who choose to attend.
