INVITATION TO TENDER (ITT)
SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF RAIL FITTINGS AND FASTENERS FOR STANDARD GAUGE RAILWAY (SGR).
TENDER NO. KR/SCM/058/2025-2026
The Kenya Railways invites sealed Tenders for SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF RAIL
FITTINGS AND FASTENERS FOR STANDARD GAUGE RAILWAY (SGR).
1. Tendering will be conducted under Open Tender Method using a standardized
tender document.
2. In
case this tender is subject to a Reservation, specify the Group is eligible to tender,
Insert e.g. “Tendering is open to all Small and Medium Enterprises registered
appropriately with………………………”). N/A
3. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect
the Tender Documents during office hours from 0900 hrs. to 1600 hrs. at the
address given below.
4. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the
website www.krc.co.ke , www.ppip.go.ke . Tenderers who download the tender
document must forward their particulars immediately to procure@krc.co.ke to
facilitate any further clarification or addendum.
5. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Guarantee of Kenya Shillings One Million
Shillings Only (Kshs.1,000,000.00) from an insurance company registered and
licensed by the Insurance Regulatory Authority and listed by the Public Procurement
Regulatory Authority or a Bank Guarantee from a Registered Commercial Bank in Kenya
valid for 240 days from the date of tender opening. Verification shall be carried out to
ascertain authenticity of the document.
6. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender
documents submitted.
7. Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before
February 20, 2026 at 2.00 pm Electronic Tenders shall not be permitted.
- Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time
specified above or any dead line date and time specified later. Tenders will be
publicly opened in the presence of the Tenderers’ designated representatives
who choose to attend at the address below. - Late tenders will be rejected.
