INVITATION TO TENDER (ITT)
SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF SGR TONNERS
TENDER NO. KR/SCM/FRC/002/2025-2026
1. The Kenya Railways invites sealed tenders for One (1) year framework contract for supply and delivery of SGR tonners.
2. Tendering will be conducted under open competitive method (National) using a standardized tender document. Tendering is open to all qualified
and interested Tenderers. Tender will be awarded on basis of Framework Agreement.
3. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and
inspect the Tender Documents during office hours from 8 AM to 5PM at the address given below.
4. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the
website www.krc.co.ke, www.ppip.go.ke. Tenderers who download the
tender document must forward their particulars immediately to
procure@krc.co.ke to facilitate any further clarification or addendum.
5. The tender must be accompanied by a Bid Bond inform of a Bank
Guarantee of Kshs.500,000.00 (Kenya Shillings Five Hundred
Thousand Only) from an insurance company registered and licensed by
the Insurance Regulatory Authority and listed by the Public Procurement
Regulatory Authority or a Bank Guarantee from a Registered Commercial
Bank in Kenya valid for 240 days from the date of tender opening.
Verification may be carried out to ascertain authenticity of the document.
6. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender
documents submitted.
7. Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before
18th March, 2026 at 10.00 am. Electronic Tenders shall not be permitted.
8. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time
specified above or any dead line date and time specified later. Tenders
will be publicly opened in the presence of the Tenderers’ designated
representatives who choose to attend at the address below.
