TENDER FOR SUPPLY OF PETROL HYBRID VEHICLE

The Deutsche Gesellschaft fur Internationale Zusammenarbeit [GIZ] GmbH is implementing technical cooperation measures on behalf of the Government of the Federal Republic of Germany.
GIZ is inviting bidders to express their interest in the supply of a Petrol Hybrid Vehicle [self-charging].
Interested bidders MUST meet the following eligibility requirements:
- The bidder must be a legal business entity incorporated in Kenya with a minimum of three [3] consecutive years of continuous operation. Proof of incorporation by means of a valid Certificate of Incorporation must be submitted. The bidder’s primary business activity must be the supply of motor vehicles, as stated in the incorporation documents.
- A valid and up-to-date Tax Compliance Certificate issued by the Kenya Revenue Authority must be provided.
- The bidder must submit the most recent and valid CR12 (or equivalent document) issued by the Registrar of Companies, not older than 6 months from the tender submission date.
- The bidder must hold all mandatory permits and licenses required by Kenyan authorities (e.g., KEBS certification, County Government trade licenses, etc.], with valid copies attached.
- The bidder must demonstrate a minimum annual turnover of KES 10,000,000 for each of the past three financial years (2022, 2023, and 2024], Only audited financial statements signed by both a licensed auditor and company directors will be accepted. Draft or unaudited accounts will not be considered.
- The bidder must provide documented evidence of at least two (2) previous assignments involving the supply of fuel-hybrid motor vehicles with a minimum value of KES 6,000,000 each. Acceptable proof includes signed contracts, purchase orders, and corresponding invoices. Letters of reference without supporting documents will not be accepted.
- The bidder must submit a valid and original Manufacturer’s Authorization Letter, confirming that the offered vehicle models are authorized for sale and use in Kenya. Generic authorizations or dealer self-certifications will not be accepted.
- The bidder must demonstrate proven capacity to provide comprehensive after-sales support in Kenya. Where this is outsourced to a partner, a legally binding service partnership agreement with an authorized workshop must be provided, along with verifiable contact details of the service provider.
Only eligible bidders that meet all the requirements above will receive the further tender documents to proceed with offer submission.
