INVITATION TO TENDER
TENDER FOR TENDER FOR SUPPLY, DELIVERY, INSTALLATION OF SILO LOAD CELLS.
TENDER NUMBER NO. GDC/SC/OT/060/2024:2025
3. The Geothermal Development Company invites sealed tenders for the Supply, Delivery, Installation,
Testing and Commissioning of Silo Load Cells.
4. Tendering will be conducted under open competitive method (National) using a standardized tender
document.Tendering is open to all qualified and interested Tenderers.
5. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender Documents
from the office of Manager, Supply Chain at Kawi House Office, located at South C Bellevue, Off
Mombasa Road, Red Cross Road between 9.00am and 4.00pm during weekdays.
6. A complete set of tender documents may be purchased or obtained by interested tenders upon
payment of a non- refundable fees of Kshs 1000.00 in cash or Banker’s Cheque and payable to
GDC Accounts Office. Tender documents may be obtained electronically from the Website
www.gdc.co.ke or www.tenders.go.ke. Tender documents obtained electronically will be free of charge.
7. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the website www.gdc.co.ke or
tenders.go.ke . Tenderers who download the tender document must forward their particulars
immediately to procurement@gdc.co.ke to facilitate any further clarification or addendum.
8. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender security of Kshs. 100,000.00 in the format specified
in the TDS.
9. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the tender documents submitted.
10. Completed tenders are to be enclosed in plain sealed envelopes marked with tender name and tender
reference number and be deposited in the Tender Box at GDC Kawi House Office Ground Floor, located
at South C Bellevue ,Off Mombasa Road, Red Cross Road, or be addressed to;

Mandatory Site Visit.
There shall be a Mandatory site visit for to be held at GDC Operational Site as follows;
1. Baringo-Silali Geothermal Project on Thursday 22nd May 2025 at 10.00am (assemble at GDC
Kapkerwa Office (Baringo County) along Marigat – Loruk Road at 8.30am.) and then proceed to site.
11. Electronic Tenders will not be permitted.
12. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above. Tenders
will be publicly opened in the presence of the Tenderers’ designated representatives who choose to
attend at GDC Kawi House Office Ground Floor boardroom.
13. Late tenders will be rejected.
