INVITATION TO TENDER (ITT) 

TENDER FOR THE PROPOSED PERMANENT RESTORATION OF SINKING LINES AT MAKADARA DEPOT 
TENDER NO. KR/SCM/054/2025-2026 

1. The Kenya Railways invites sealed Tender for The Proposed Permanent Restoration
   of Sinking Lines at Makadara Depot
2. Tendering will be conducted under open competitive tendering method using
   a standardized tender document and is open to all qualified and interested Tenderers.
3. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender
   Documents during office hours from 0900 hrs to 1600 hrs at the address given below.
4. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded free from the website
   www.krc.co.ke, www.ppip.go.ke. Tenderers who download the tender document must
   forward their particulars immediately to procure@krc.co.ke to facilitate any further
   clarification or addendum.
5. Tenders shall be quoted be in Kenya Shillings and shall include all taxes. Tenders shall
   remain valid for 210 calendar days from the date of opening of tenders.
6. The Tenderer shall chronologically serialize all pages of the Tender documents submitted.
7. A Guarantee of Kenya Shillings One Million Two Hundred Thousand Only
   (Kshs.1,200,000.00) must accompany all Tenders from an insurance company
   registered and licensed by the Insurance Regulatory Authority and listed by the Public
   Procurement Regulatory Authority or a Bank Guarantee from a Registered
   Commercial Bank in Kenya valid for 240 days from the date of tender opening.
   Verification may be carried out to ascertain authenticity of the document.
8. Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before 17th March,
   2026 at 2:00 p.m. Electronic Tenders shall not be permitted.
9. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above
   or any deadline date and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the
   presence of the Tenderers’ designated representatives who choose to attend at the
   address below.
10. Late tenders will be rejected.
