INVITATION TO TENDER (ITT)
TENDER FOR THE SUPPLY, DELIVERY, TESTING, INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING OF ICT EQUIPMENT
TENDER NO: KarU/OT/009/2024-2025
KARATINA UNIVERSITY invites sealed tenders for the TENDER FOR THE SUPPLY, DELIVERY,
TESTING, INSTALLATION AND COMMISSIONING OF ICT EQUIPMENT
Tendering will be conducted under open competitive method (National) using a standardized tender document.
Tendering is open to all qualified and interested Tenderers.
1. Qualified and interested tenderers may obtain further information and inspect the Tender
Documents during office hours [8.00 a.m. to 5 pm] at the address given below.
2. A complete set of tender documents may be purchased or obtained by interested tenders upon payment
of a non-refundable fees of 1000 Kenya shillings in cash or Banker’s Cheque and payable to the address
given below. Tender documents may be obtained electronically from the Website. Tender documents
obtained electronically will be free of charge.
3. Tenderers downloading documents from a designated Website shall advise the Procurement Entity
that they have downloaded the tender documents, giving full contact addresses of the tenderer sent via
email to The Procurement Officer, KARATINA UNIVERSITY and send the email to
procurement@karu.ac.ke
4. Tender documents may be viewed and downloaded for free from the website www.karu.ac.ke OR
www.tenders.go.ke. Tenderers who download the tender document must forward their particulars
to The Procurement Officer, KARATINA UNIVERSITY and send the email to
procurement@karU.ac.ke. to facilitate any further clarification or addendum.
5. All Tenders must be accompanied by a Tender Security of Kenya Shillings 100,000.00.
6. Completed tenders must be delivered to the address below on or before Thursday 13th February,
2025 at 11.00 A.M
7. Electronic Tenders will not be permitted.
8. Tenders will be opened immediately after the deadline date and time specified above or any dead line
date and time specified later. Tenders will be publicly opened in the presence of the Tenderers’
designated representatives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below.
9. Late tenders will be rejected.

Bid document to be deposited in the Tender Box located at the Administration Block at the Main Campus
Kagochi – Karatina.
Bulky tenders to be delivered to the Procurement Office at Main campus Kagochi Karatina for Registration.
Opening of the bid documents will be done immediately thereafter in the presence of applicants or
their representatives who choose to attend.
